The Hamilton Parrothead Club was sanctioned in the spring of 2001. 4 PH's from Hamilton who were members of the London PHC decided to apply to PHIP in April of 2001 for Club status.
We were accepted and in May of 2001 the
executive was comprised of Jason Cattle, VP, Doug Griffiths, Treasurer, Mark Stringer, Secretary and Mary Griffiths President.
Our first meeting was held at Barangas on the Beach. By the end of the first year we had 32
members and had already participated in the Big Brothers Bowlathon and the SPCA walkathon donating over $1300.00 to those charities. A good start for a small group of dedicated Parrotheads!

Since then the club has had many new member and is now boasting a 50 PH membership.

We sponsor the following organizations on an ongoing basis:
- Adopt-a-Road ( Section of Mountain Brow Blvd)
- Howie the Manatee ---Save the Manatee Foundation
- JB the parrot at the Hamilton Aviary
- Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hamilton, Burlington
- Multiple Sclerosis
